I can't seem to create list collapsibles!

Sometimes it happens that you select a multi-level list, and ask More Add-in to create list collapsibles, and nothing happens.

The problem here is most likely due to:

  • More Add-in recognizes list paragraphs by searching for paragraphs with List Paragraph style; however
  • Under some circumstances, when Word creates multi-level lists, it does so by modifying Normal paragraphs; it doesn't change the style of the list paragraphs to List Paragraph style.

Thus to create list collapsibles, you need to first ensure that your multi-level list paragraphs are constructed using List Paragraph style.

(This situation is yet another manifestation of the wonderful quirkiness and complexity of Microsoft Word. Hopefully in a future release of More Add-in we'll have found a work-around so that users will never need to know about this issue.)
